Your tools and your connections
Ship It is an experimental demonstration of small personal tools, operated by Scott Falconer. Sign in with a Google account that has a verified email address.
Information used
Google sign-in provides your name, verified email address, and account identifier. Ship It stores an application account, sign-in sessions, assistant authorization grants, your tool requests, the approved definitions of your tools, their records, and operation receipts. It does not request access to your Google files, email, or calendar.
Where information goes
The hosted application and database run on Google Cloud. When you ask for a new tool, your request, clarifications, agreed scope, and examples are posted publicly on GitLab so GitLab Duo can build it; keep them generic. Tool records are never posted to GitLab. An assistant you connect receives the results of actions you authorize. Your assistant provider processes your conversation under its own terms. The application does not record voice audio or run advertising analytics. Infrastructure logs may contain request metadata; do not put secrets in tool records.
Your controls
Personal tools remain private. For a tool built as a shared list or weekly choices, its owner can invite people by verified Google email. Accepting an invitation gives that person and their authorized assistants access within the tool’s rules. Shared-list members can read the whole list. Weekly-choice participants can read the available options and their own selections; only the owner can review or export everyone’s selections. The verified email of each contributor identifies their items or selections to people allowed to see them. For shared lists, members can change or remove only their own items; the owner can change or remove any item, clear or export the list, and remove members. For weekly choices, the owner manages available options and each participant updates only their own choices. Invitations expire after 24 hours. Removing access stops future actions but cannot retract information already read or exported. Saved contributions remain after removal. Your authorized assistants and the service operator can access the records your account may read. You can disconnect an assistant from your tools page. The service checks current authorization before every action. You can export each tool you own as JSON, including its records. Shared-tool exports may include contributor identities and should be kept private. This export does not include sign-in credentials. Contact the operator to request account or record removal; the current pilot has no self-service deletion screen. Backups may retain records until their retention period ends.
